This year, Black Friday falls on Friday 24 November 2017.
What is Black Friday?
Black Friday was originally an American tradition, dropping on the day after Thanksgiving each year. Retailers offer massive discounts on a masses of products in an attempt to persuade you to spend your hard earned in the run-up to Christmas.
However Nigerian retailers have jumped on the bandwagon in recent years so bargain hunters over here get the chance at some festive deals.

Black Friday is always the Friday is the day when most retailers put on a spectacular day of deals in all categories from phones, tablets and laptops to carpets, fridges and clothes.
As a sales event, Black Friday is bettered only by Singles Day (11th November annually), the day on which young people in China celebrate singledom through the medium of copious spending at Alibaba.com.
